BALI DIVE SITES

NUSA PENIDA

There are three islands off the Southeast Coast of Bali; Penida Island, Lembongan Island and Ceningan Island requires about 30-45 minutes boat ride. The homeland of rich and colorful corals, fishes, and marine life. During June to October every year, it is the peak season for diving, divers from over the globe travel to Bali to catch sight of Mola Mola (Sunfish).

Depart from Sanur jetty or Candidasa jetty, 30-45min boat ride to the famous dive site – CRYSTAL BAY, or one hour boat ride to the MANTA POINT. It is common for large waves to be present. Thus divers who get seasick easily, prepare your seasickness pills!

The arrangement for dive site of the day is according to the tide, 3 dives a day, we provide lunch on the boat. The year round average temperature of the water at these dive sites are 27°C. During the “Mola-Mola” season, the water temperature will thermocline to below 23°C. We suggest divers to prepare a 5mm wetsuit and hood. Minimum certification level is AOW, and require divers to have more than 25 dive experience.

PADANG BAI

The distance from Padang Bai to the dive sites are roughly 10-20min boat ride, water entry is via backroll for divers. It’s a site that can be dived all year round, with a visibility range of 15-30m. It is suitable for open water courses, and for entry level diving to advanced level. The currents are generally calm, except during the rise and fall of tide or a full moon condition. Temperature of the water is generally warm however, during mola-mola season water temperature could possibly drop to 20°C. Night dives could be arranged should you be staying at our Candidasa accomodations.

AMED

The drive from Sanur to Amed takes about 2.5 hours, from Candidasa to Amed takes about 1 hour. Amed sits on the Eastern side of Bali, completed with beautiful black sand, volcanic mountain, and hill views during the drive. Similar to Tulamben, the difference is that in Amed you would require to sit a local boat (jukung) that fits max. 3 pax, about 5-10 minute boat ride and it is a boat dive.

TULAMBEN

Tulamben dive sites are easily accessible via shore entries. Fret not, as all diving equipment will be brought near to the shore by the local porters. The first dive would commonly be at the shipwreck site. A travelling journey ranging between 1hour (Candidasa) to 2hours (Sanur) by car from your respective accommodation locations. We would arrive at Tulamben between 10-10.30am for possibly the best dive experience. Thus, all documents and equipment would be prepared prior and we would set off at 8am sharp.

SANUR

Diving in Sanur is well worth a day or two of your diving time.
The dive sites in Sanur are perfect for those divers who do not have the time or energy to travel to the North of Bali or over to Nusa Penida.
The Sanur dive sites are just a few minutes from the shore, just around the corner for the dive school and are home to an enormous amount of marine life.
